You’d love to try an art quilt, but have no idea how to begin. How do you make that picture in your head into a quilt? What colors should you use; how big do you make the pieces and where do you put them? Have you started a project then put it away because you just couldn’t make it work out as you had hoped?
THIS CLASS IS NOW FULL and REGISTRATION IS CLOSED.
Color and Design for Art Quilters is an introduction to basic color and design principles. It will help you understand how color works, and the “rules” of design to help you make the decisions you need to bring your ideas into reality. Each of the four classes will feature a small fun project to help you learn that week’s lessons. There will be opportunities to learn new ways of doing things if you wish to try them. If you’re not feeling brave enough yet, directions will be provided using familiar techniques and you can save the ideas for a future creation. Plan to have a good time and let your creativity out to play! InstructorYour instructor for this class is Jean Shute. You can read about Jean and see detail photos from some of her art quilts in the Teacher Biography section.
